The Eloise | Strange Audio

A two-channel amp unlike anything else, with features and a design that gives you the ultimate tonal pallet for stage and studio.

The Eloise is the result of 2 years worth of deep dives and prototypes, aiming to create a channel switching amp that is much more than a clean/dirty platform. Instead, this amp features two preamp circuits that individually achieve a full pallet of clean/breakup/overdrive tones, letting you choose how you want to set up your channels.

The Bold channel features a 6SL7 preamp tube, voiced for extended low end and smooth, round breakup. The Bite channel is driven by a 12AX7 tube, voiced with tighter low end, a bit more cutting high end, and aggressive attack at higher gain settings.

Each channel has their own separate tone controls, consisting of a Tone knob (high end/low end balance, clockwise = brighter) and a Mid knob (mid frequency scoop adjustments, clockwise = more mids, boosting signal and breakup, counter-clockwise = scooping mids without effecting high end/low end). These controls give you a huge range of tonal flavor, letting you dial in how the breakup of each channel, sculpting tone from gain pedals, fitting in the band's mix, etc.

Both channels are then fed through my Cleaner/Meaner gain voicing circuit, with three settings of headroom, breakup characteristics, and overall volume and power section distortion.

Finally, I've included a built-in reactive load attenuator, taking the 35W output down to 7.5W with virtually no tonal changes. In use, this is perfect for switching the output level for rehearsal vs. stage volume, without needing to adjust any other parameters.

The Eloise is a uniquely flexible amp that covers a lot of sonic ground, with just the right amount of controls. You can set the amp to have two different clean voicings, or two different overdriven tones, as well as the typical clean/dirty approach. All wrapped in a stand-out visual package that will turn heads on stage.

Amp is a head form factor, with optional matching verticle 2x12" cabinet.
